Welcome to Microdurability2016
The 1st & 2nd International Conferences on Microstructure Related Durability of Cementitious Composites held in Nanjing(2008) and Amsterdam (2012), has been generated a lot of interest. There were more 400 participates from around 20 countries participated and presented their paper. Along the successful experience of the first two conferences, the 3rd conference in this series is scheduled at 24-26 October 2016, in Nanjing, China.
It is obviously that the durability of cementitious materials is very problem that the concrete structures have faced and perhaps it is going to be the big issue for the service life of infrastructure in future. A number of factors were known which influence the durability of concrete. Among of them the development of cement hydration, the microstructure and the service condition are the main concern. Based on this concept the aim of the conference is again to bring together leading experts in this field from around the world to present the recent achievements, share the latest developments and address the challenges in the microstructure related durability issues of cementitious materials.
